Since early December 2009, consumers have been tantalized with news of the upcoming release of the ASUS Eee keyboard PC – a keyboard with all the functionality of a netbook. It seems they won’t be left waiting for too much longer. ASUS announced at CES 2010 that the Eee keyboard should be available sometime in the first quarter of 2010.

Apple iPad’s Display Is Looks Like a TV Than a Laptop

Apple iPad’s most striking feature, its gorgeous 9.7-inch touchscreen display, uses liquid crystal display technology — but with a few unusual twists — to present a vivid image and a wide viewing angle.
“The iPad’s display uses the same capacitive touchscreen technology as the iPhone and iPod Touch,” says Vinita Jakhanwal, principal analyst for iSuppli. “At the same time, it offers a better picture quality than conventional LCDs.”
After months of speculation, Apple launched its tablet, the iPad on Wednesday. The lightweight device (1.5 pounds) features a luminous touchscreen and a user interface similar to the iPhone. The iPad, which can cost $500 to $830 depending on the model, runs an expanded version of the operating system used in the iPhone.

which device is better, with many pro-Kindle reviewers calling the reader less distracting, while the Apple camp cites the iPad’s multi-purpose nature as a selling point.
An iPad “does so much more — games, photos, videos, email,” wrote Fred Vogelsteinin Wired. “I might eventually ditch my laptop for it too.”
GigaOm also sees the Kindle as a defunct device. “The Amazon Kindle is dead thanks to the rich media capabilities of the iPad as well as the full software-based keyboard,” Stacey Higginbotham wrote.
Apple's i-Pad - concise details of the announcement
The Apple iPad was announced today. In a nutshell, it’s a bigger iPhone that runs all the same apps on a 9.7 inch touch screen and has a 10 hour battery life and 30 day stand-by. It’s half an inch thick, weighs 1.5 pounds, and is powered by Apple’s own custom 1GHz ARM A4chip and can run up to 64 GB of storage. It has all the wireless connectivity of the iphone (802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1), a built-in speaker and microphone, accelerometer and uses the same 30-pin Dock connector as the iPod and iPhone.
The first iPads will ship in 60 days, with 3G models taking another month. Pricing starts at US$499 and runs to US$829.

i-Book The enTourage eDGe eBook dualscreen reader
enTourage announces eDGe dual screen eBook reader
When is an eBook reader not merely an eBook reader? When it’s an enTourage eDGE reader. Unveiled this week at CES the clamshell designed reader is billed as the world’s first dualbook, with a 9.7” black and white E-ink screen on the one side and 10.1” LCD color touchscreen on the other. Along with 4GB of internal memory and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability, the unit functions as a mini-netbook, notepad and audio/video recorder.
The dual displays of the enTourage eDGe reader can be flipped to be used tablet style, and the included stylus enables the user to not only scribble notes in the margin of the E-ink side but also to highlight text to send to an index. The LCD side runs on Android software, and features a large onscreen USB keyboard, as well as the option of an external USB or Bluetooth keyboard.
The IronClad Shrinks a Laptop' Hard Drive(PenDrive)
Lockheed Martin IronClad PC-on-a-Stick secures Desktop and Data for Telecommuters
For most people the name Lockheed Martin relates to missiles, rockets, simulators, robotics, satellites, aircraft and advanced military systems but look up the company’s “about us” page on the global web site, and you’ll see that the 140,000 LM employees who bring in around US$43 billion in revenues each year, see themselves as working for a security company. Which might serve as some degree of confidence that the company’s new IronClad “PC on a stick” USB drive offers military-strength security for their out-of-office computing. The IronClad shrinks a laptop’s hard drive, including the entire operating system, software applications, and files, onto a fully encrypted flash drive - a “PC on a stick” that delivers hardware-level protection against today’s most insidious malware threats, and it costs way less than a Longbow helicopter, a Cassini satellite, Titan rocket or SR-71 Blackbird.
Lenovo Launched His New IdeaPad U1
Lenovo IdeaPad U1
There has been a lot of pondering about exactly which niche the tablet PC will fit into in today's tech-centric mobile world. At this year's CES trade show in Las Vegas, Lenovo hopes to answer many of those questions by merging the familiarity of a laptop and the convenience and portability of a tablet PC into one package. The main innovation in the IdeaPad U1 is a detachable tablet PC screen which has its own operating system and processor but when docked in the laptop body shares both battery and processing power.
Lenovo is dubbing the IdeaPad U1 a hybrid notebook and while it's too early for exact production specification, the company has confirmed that when in notebook mode, the IdeaPad U1 will run on Windows 7, be powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, include an integrated webcam, echo canceling microphone and sport 3G wireless connectivity.
ASUS Launch New NX90 Laptop
ASUS chairman Jonney Shih has introduced some of the company's latest designs at CES 2010 and a noteworthy inclusion was the ASUS NX90 Bang & Olufsen ICEpower notebook – a handsome and functional laptop which was designed in conjunction with Bang & Olufsen’s lead designer, David Lewis. The NX90 features a smooth, polished aluminum body and palm rest that coordinate perfectly with the sleek dark keyboard and dual touchpads – which together with the desktop software - are designed to be used much like a DJ’s mixing desk. The B&O ICEpower speakers sit either side of the high-definition flat screen and are designed to produce flawless surround-sound audio – this is definitely a laptop designed for the living room, not the home office.
Skype Coming to LG and Panasonic HDTVs
You might already have Skype on your iPhone, PSP, or desk phone, but 2010 looks to be the year of Skype on your HDTV, with Skype-enabled HDTVs from LG and Panasonic in the pipeline for a Spring release.
These HDTVs will feature a built-in 720p webcam and a microphone designed to ensure you don't have to shout, or get off the couch, for Grandma to be able to hear your voice. HD video functionality has been added to Skype in the latest 4.2 beta, enabling 720p video at 30 frames per second, and there is a range of peripherals available from the Skype Store that allow older computers to encode and decode the HD video in real-time without breaking a sweat - including hardware from FaceVsion, who we talked to at IFA 2009.
If you're keen for a Skype-enabled HDTV and want to be kept up to date with developments, you can follow @skypeonyourtv on Twitter.
Sustail clockwork mouse concept
Designer Ahmet Bektes is proposing using centuries-old technology to provide the power for a familiar modern device. Rather than drawing energy from a computer or batteries, a user will need to remove a key from below the Sustail mouse and wind it up before being able to use it. It is hoped that the Bluetooth-connected input device would also encourage users to take regular breaks and have a more responsible attitude towards power consumption.
Powering a low energy device by using a wind-up mechanism has of course been around for centuries, being most familiar in clocks and watches. Recently, such energy generation has found its way into scores of modern devices such as radios, torches and media players. In designing a conceptual optical mouse which will need to wound up before it can be used, Bektes hopes not only to free the device from more familiar power source restrictions but also to change the behavior of its user.

Jelly Click Mouse

Portablity is very important for a laptop mouse. Emphasis on portablity results in decrease of the usability and vice versa. 'Jelly click' is a flat type portable mouse that can be used by being inflated satisfying both portability and usability of a laptop mouse. When deflated the user can fold it up for a convenient portability and when inflated and in use a feeling as if you were tou-ching a soft jelly or even a balloon can be felt.
